BIOGRAPHY

Antoni Krej was born in Warsaw in 2005. His passion for classical music, enriched by an interest in entertainment repertoire, became the foundation of his musical development.

He is currently a student at the renowned Interlochen Arts Academy, where under the guidance of Ken Larson, he hones his trumpet skills. Additionally, he has participated in masterclasses and had the privilege to learn from eminent trumpet masters such as Ole Edvard Antonsen and Vincent diMartino.

His musical journey began at the age of 9 at the O. Kolberg Primary Music School in Warsaw under guidance of Tomasz Kirszling and Paweł Wróblewski, where he had the opportunity to play in the school symphony orchestra and in a trumpet-accordion duo, winning numerous awards in national and international competitions.

After completing primary school with distinction, Antoni was admitted to the Zenon Brzewski Music High School in Warsaw, where under the guidance of Jan Harasimowicz and Jakub Waszczeniuk, he developed his trumpet skills and chamber music activities.

His talent was also recognized across the ocean when in 2022 he became a scholarship recipient at the Interlochen Centre for the Arts, enabling him to participate in prestigious orchestral workshops in the USA and continue his education at the Interlochen Arts Academy.

Antoni Krej has extensive stage experience as a member of the World Youth Symphony Orchestra and numerous chamber ensembles, where he has performed a repertoire under the baton of renowned conductors. His repertoire encompasses both classical and contemporary works.

As a music enthusiast, Antoni also engages in activities promoting music among younger audiences, participating in concerts and recordings promoting the music of Polish composers for the youngest listeners.

For Antoni, music is a universal language that connects different generations and cultures, and playing in chamber ensembles and symphony orchestras is a source of immense satisfaction and joy in sharing the beauty of art with the audience.
